Two decades of Ciklum success

Over the past two decades our teams have been the driving force for much of that change. We have built custom products and platforms for globally recognised organisations such as Just Eat, TUI, Paysafe, eToro and many more. These products  that have helped them realise their digital transformation journey, scale their business, and deliver better user experiences for their customers.

As we reach our 20th anniversary, I want to take a moment to reflect on some of our achievements to date, thank our clients for their continued support, and look ahead at what’s to come.

What we’ve achieved

Since 2002, we’ve worked with companies across Fintech, Banking, Fashion & Retail, Travel & Hospitality and iGaming, and have received plenty of  global industry accolades as a result. Most recently, we have been recognised in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Custom Software Development, alongside some of the leading technology services companies in the world. Our commitment to empowering Ciklumers to exceed their potential and to pursue the extraordinary has also seen us named as one of the top-10 employers in the regions within which we operate by Forbes. Our success has also attracted interest from capital investment and private equity firms, Newlight Partners, Ukrainian giant Dragon Capital in 2019, and technology service investor Recognize Partners in 2020. 

Elements of our growth in recent years have been enhanced by our acquisition strategy, starting with the acquisition of the offshore software development company Mondo in 2009. Since then, we’ve also welcomed Prague-based software development organisation CN Group into our company, which enabled us to expand our footprint in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. We’ve also acquired Kuadriga, a 50% stake in SCR Gruppen, and continued to open new offices and delivery centres across the world, including in the United States, Poland, Spain, Latin America and India.

How we help the community

Our achievements go much further than just the investment we’ve attracted and the clients we’ve supported. From day one, as a workforce and as a business we’ve taken our social responsibility seriously, working hard to operate fairly, sustainably and charitably both locally and internationally:

• Charity and Emergency response: we’ve supported initiatives in Ukraine, Poland, Spain and Pakistan to provide families with access to food, clothes and stationery. Amid the ongoing Ukrainian war, Ciklum has provided almost ~$7million to support those affected relocate to safer places. This support extends to both Ciklumers and the wider Ukrainian community. We also contributed aid to those affected by this year’s flooding in Pakistan.
  
• Environment: we’ve reduced the amount of plastic we use in our offices by 80% and adopted reusable branded merchandise. We also promote environmentally friendly habits across the workforce, such as the green transport initiative “#CarFreeCityChallenge”, and we continue to look for ways we can introduce more sustainable initiatives.
• Diversity and inclusion: we’re at the forefront of efforts to encourage women to pursue their interests in the IT industry, and regularly sponsor events and host communities where they can get involved. In 2021 we also launched the “#SheDidIT” initiative, celebrating female achievements in business and technology, and supporting female IT specialists to thrive in their careers.

Ushering in a new decade

As we enter our third decade we have a set of focused and exciting growth plans involving  expanding into new markets to work with and more incredible clients and amazing industry talent.
